4WD Crash Blocks Highway

At approximately 2.20pm on the 30th October, RACQ CapRescue were tasked to the scene of a Primary Motor Vehicle Accident around 30kms south of Rockhampton. Upon arrival to the scene, the driver in their early 60’s and the single occupant of the vehicle was found to be entrapped in the 4WD which had left the road and rolled.


After emergency crews removed the patient, they were treated and stabilised by the Critical Care Paramedic for lacerations, bruising and suspected internal injuries.


The highway was closed in both directions as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.


The patient was airlifted to the Rockhampton Base Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
