Bulk Carrier Retrieval

20/12/18 – At approximately 12.40pm, RACQ Capricorn Rescue was tasked to retrieve a patient reportedly suffering from severe headaches and seizures on board a bulk carrier located within the Gladstone anchorage. The Rescue 300 crew landed on the deck of the bulk carrier where the on board Critical Care Paramedic and Doctor treated the patient for their symptoms. Upon arrival to the scene, the patient was in a more severe condition then initially suspected and required further, immediate treatment in Brisbane.

The Rescue 300 crew then transported the patient to Bundaberg in a serious condition where they were then airlifted to Brisbane by a Bundaberg based rescue helicopter.
