Bushfire Victim

3/12/18 – Just after 10pm, RACQ CapRescue was tasked to a nearby island off the Gladstone coast for a patient who was suffering severe asthma as a result of smoke inhalation. The patient was in direct contact with the bushfires currently burning on the island, and as a result suffered severe asthma. The Rescue300 crew met the patient and other emergency personnel on the island before they stabilised and airlifted the patient to Rockhampton Base Hospital.
