11 Dec 08 – In order to maintain a high level of proficiency and skills the CHRS Helicopter crews conduct regular training flights and scenarios. These flights are designed to simulate real life situations, so that when tasked they are ready to assist the public confidently and professionally, observing the highest safety standards.

Simulating the launch of life rafts to a stricken vessel, as well as hoisting to and from water craft of all sizes, are skills that need to be practiced rigorously and regularly to maintain high standards. These skills, among many others, are essential to provide the capabilities for ocean rescues.
