Fall from cotton picker near Blackwater
19TH JULY – FALL FROM COTTON PICKER NEAR BLACKWATER: Rescue 300 was called to a cotton farm North East of Blackwater to attend to a 32 year old male who had fallen from a commercial cotton picker. The male had fallen approximately 6 meters from the top of the harvester and landed on his back. He had suspected neck and back injuries as well as an injured right shoulder.
The aircraft was able to land adjacent to the scene and the patient was assessed and treated by a QAS Flight Paramedic. The patient was stabilised, given pain relief and moved onto the aircraft’s stretcher. He was transported to the aircraft in the back of a farm ute and then loaded onboard the Rescue Helicopter where he was flown to Rockhampton for further treatment.« Return to “Fall from cotton picker near Blackwater”
