RACQ’s Change For Choppers Launches in Rockhampton

  • RACQ Change for Choppers
  • 10am to 12pm, Friday January 18th
  • Kershaw Gardens, off Moores Creek Road, Rockhampton

RACQ has proudly supported the Rescue Helicopter Network for the last 25 years, which in 2018 alone, rescued more than 2,700 Queenslanders in need. The Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service is proud to have been supported by our naming rights sponsor, RACQ, for the past 18 years and to be apart of the RACQ Rescue Helicopter Network that continues to save the lives of Queenslanders 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

RACQ spokesperson Carolyn Gibbs says the State’s peak motoring body understands the significant role of the Rescue Helicopter Network.

“With such a large number of Queensland residents living in remote areas of the state, a network of aeromedical helicopters accessible to those requiring urgent medical attention, which sometimes is hours away, is invaluable.”

While the support received by the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue from Central Queenslanders for the past 22 years has been extraordinary, unfortunately the Service still requires more to be able to keep our heroes in the air and free to those of CQ.

That’s why RACQ are hosting events across Queensland as part of the Change for Choppers appeal to raise additional funds for the RACQ Rescue Helicopter Network. This Friday January 18th at the Kershaw Gardens in Rockhampton, the community is invited to come down to enjoy a morning of fun activities for the kids, prizes, and much more, all in support of the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue!
