Jockey Fall

8/9/18 – RACQ CapRescue was tasked to Biloela for a 21 year old female who had fallen from a horse, and collided with a barrier. The female jockey was entering the gates when the horse reared, causing the jockey to collide with the barrier. The patient suffered multiple injuries including head, spine and lung injuries. The patient was treated by QAS road crews and transported to Biloela hospital. Our on board critical care paramedic and doctor stabilised the patient in Biloela hospital before transporting the patient to Rockhampton in a serious but stable condition.
