Fallen Tree Leaves Man Stranded for Several Hours

Just after 7pm, RACQ Capricorn Rescue was tasked to a location approximately 90 miles South West of Rockhampton for a male patient who had suffered suspected spinal injuries after being struck by a falling tree. The incident occurred whilst using a chainsaw to trim trees on a rural property.

The patient was treated and stabilised by the onboard flight medical team before being airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition for further treatment.
