Hang Glider Fail

RACQ CapRescue was called to a rather unusual mission recently when tasked to Yeppoon after a hang glider pilot crashed in a residential home – the result of suspected equipment failure.

Rescue300 responded immediately and tracked to the Yeppoon Hospital where the patient had been initially treated and transported by Queensland Ambulance Paramedics.

As Rescue300 arrived at the Yeppoon helipad, the on board Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic assessed the patient and further stabilised them prior to being airlifted to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a stable condition.
