Horse accident at Hollins Bay
CAPRICORN HELICOPTER RESCUE was tasked this morning to Hollins Bay, which is approximately 71 miles North East of Rockhampton, near Stanage Bay. A 55 year old male had sustained head injuries after coming off his horse.
The man had been riding his horse when it stopped unexpectedly and threw him off. In the process of falling, the man received a kick to the temple which resulted in the patient losing consciousness for approx 10 minutes.
After assessment by the QAS Intensive Care Paramedic, the patients condition was determined to be of a serious nature, and accordingly he was flown directly to Rockhampton Base Hospital for a CT scan, tests and further observation.« Return to “Horse accident at Hollins Bay”
