Low Speed Fall

#CapRescue were tasked to retrieve an elderly patient in their early 70’s who had fallen from a quad bike on a property approximately 80 kilometres west of Rockhampton on 26th September.

It is suspected the patient was riding the bike at a low speed when a turn caused the bike to slip on the loose gravel and subsequently cause the patient to fall. The QAS was first on scene where they treated the patient for the initial injuries. Following the arrival of CapRescue to the scene, the patient was then further treated by the on-board paramedic for possible spinal injuries.

The patient was transported in a stable condition to Rockhampton Base Hospital for further treatment.
