2014 Christmas Beers and BBQ – Thank you to all who could make it.
See you all again in 2015.
Late last week we launched our exclusive Rescue 300 club to a crowd of 80 members and guests at a breakfast event. Attendees flooded into the hangar at 6:45am in support of one of the Capricorn regions most essential lifesaving community services.
Guest speaker and RACQ CHRS supporter Tim Gibson delivered a very animated talk about his motives behind entering the Lynx Space Academy competition, the selection process, the gruelling training drills at the Kennedy Space Centre and his expectations for his journey into space.
Executive Director, Mark Fewtrell hailed the launch as a great success. “The Rescue 300 Club is a new initiative and is about heightening the awareness and importance of the Helicopter Rescue Service in the community. Whilst aimed at businesses and providing them with an opportunity to network, membership is available to everyone with the tax deductible annual donation going to support our ongoing and increasing operational needs”.
We have signed up an additional 4 members from the breakfast bringing the total number of Rescue 300 members to 47. We are hoping to reach a target of 80 members by our Gala Ball scheduled for August 22.
