Tanby Road Accident

22/10/20 – The #RACQ #CapRescue crew received an early call this morning following a two vehicle collision on Tanby Road. The accident occurred at approximately 8:20am and resulted in a 32 year old local women being entrapped in her SUV. Emergency services worked to free the unconscious patient who was treated for suspected head injuries by our onboard medical team once freed from the wreckage. She was stabilised prior to being airlifted to Rockhampton for immediate medical treatment.
Due to the location of the accident the #Rescue300 helicopter was required to land in a nearby paddock approximately 200 metres from the scene. Although there were skid marks on the road it is unclear what the caused the accident or in which direction the patient’s vehicle was travelling.
