Weekend Wrap Up

11/05/20 – Our #RACQ #CapRescue crew had another quiet weekend, despite social outing restrictions being slightly lifted this weekend; which is great to see!

Sunday morning, Rescue 300 was tasked by
Australian Maritime Safety Authority – AMSA
in response to an activated EPIRB 60 nautical miles north-east of Rockhampton. Rescue 300 successfully tracked the unregistered EPIRB and located a vessel with two occupants onboard. It is believed the vessel was experiencing engine and communication issues which led to the activation of the EPIRB. The occupants of the stricken vessel received assistance from the Yeppoon Coastguard vessel upon arrival at the location.
Shortly after returning from the search for the activated EPIRB, #RACQ #CapRescue was tasked by
Queensland Health
to transport an unwell patient that was receiving initial treatment from Biloela Hospital. They were transported in a stable condition.
