Weekend Wrap Up

15/06/20 – For the past two weeks, #RACQ #CapRescue has responded to a frightening number of motor vehicle related accidents on our Central Queensland roads, which caused the Service to urge the public to take extra precautions when travelling throughout the region.

Thankfully, the weekend was quiet for our Rescue 300 crew after they were tasked just twice by
Queensland Health
.
Just after 8am Saturday morning, Rescue 300 was tasked to transport a patient from Emerald Hospital through to Rockhampton. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the task was cancelled prior to the crew lifting off and the patient was flown to Brisbane via a fixed wing aircraft.
Just a few hours later, the crew were again tasked to Emerald Hospital for another patient requiring further treatment in Rockhampton. However, just as the crew were approaching Emerald, they were no longer required to transport the patient. The crew refuelled in Emerald prior to returning to Rockhampton.
