Weekend Wrap Up

29/06/20 – After a very eventful week, our #RACQ #CapRescue crew had quite the weekend, responding to a number of jobs over Saturday and Sunday.

Very early Saturday morning, Rescue 300 was tasked by Queensland Health to transport a patient from Yeppoon Hospital in a serious condition who was suffering a cardiac episode and required further treatment at Rockhampton Hospital.

Just after 10am Saturday, the crew were tasked to the scene of a quad bike accident on a rural property in the Raglan area, where the patient has suffered a suspected fracture pelvis. Due to the terrain, the crew were unable to land directly near the patient, instead opting to perform a winch recovery from the top of a steep hill.

After 11.30am on Sunday, Rescue 300 was tasked again in relation to a horse fall near Comet. The patient was treated at the scene for suspected spinal and neck injuries. They were transported in a stable condition back to Rockhampton Hospital for further treatment
