It was just before 2am Friday morning that the #RACQ #CapRescue crew were tasked by Queensland Health to Biloela Hospital to provide the aerial transportation of a teenage patient who required further care from Rockhampton Hospital.

Late Sunday evening, #Rescue300 was tasked to the scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident just outside of Yeppoon after a vehicle containing a 17 year old had left the road and impacted a ditch head-on. The patient was stabilised with suspected spinal injuries whilst still in his vehicle and with the assistance of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services – QFES
and Queensland Police Service the patient was then removed from the vehicle and transported by road to the awaiting helicopter for the flight to Rockhampton Airport. At the Airport, #Rescue300 met with the Royal Flying Doctor Service who then transported the patient to Brisbane for specialist spinal care. The patient was serious but stable throughout the flight.
